Looking to Improve my running fitness

Hey all,
I'm new to the forums and am looking for some advice and i'm hoping the Knowledgeable people here may be able to give me some tips. I'm 30 years old and in a job that requires a high level of fitness. I am fitter then the general pop but am looking to improve my running fitness ( i don't like running and run quite slowly). I need to improve my running speed and hence my running fitness. I do Weight training Monday and Wednesday plus training at work Tuesday and Thursday arvo for 45 mins, This can range from some circuits to beep tests to just playing sport. I try to do 1 long run a week and i ride my road bike once a week for about 1:30. On Tuesday and Thursday i try to do some running interval work either on a treadmill or on the track. Friday i usually have an easy day with a light ride on a stationary bike or a x-trainer. When i do my intervals what should i look at doing? I get bored doing the same thing day in, day out. Any advice would be appreciated.
