Hi all...first let me appoligize if I am posting this twice, I posted the other day, and my computer froze up, and I dont think it sent.
Anyways, I am a (almost) yr old married mother of 3. Looking for some motivation to help lose weight. Hubby is pretty fit, so he is not up to date on the latest loosing weight deals, and well, just more comfortable going through this with people who are in the same boat as I am. I live in Minnesota, so this time of year going outside for exercise is not an option, ( unless you are a polar bear!) So to the gym it is. I have been reading some of your posts and enjoying them and learning alot from them. Its sooooooo nice to know that there are people out there who want to lose weight and get healthy as much as I do.
Hope to learn alot from you all and possible add something to the forum.

My stats:
weight : 215
Hight: 5ft 9in
stg: 190
Ltg: 175 ( or more if needed)

I think it is important for you to explain to you family that weight loss for you is a family commitment. Your family cannot work at cross purposes and still maintain reasonable expectations of losing weight. This not only means what you eat but when you eat -- and how much. Families can be strong sources of support and equally strong demotivators. Look for heathly choices and surround yourself with them at your house, at work and in the car.

The best way to remove temptation is to remove it from your environment. You can't eat junk food if you don't have it in your house. It's NOT about willpower. It's about creating an environment to allow you to succeed. Very few people have enough willpower to work in a donut shop and not be tempted.

I'll also add that you need some form of exercise. Changing your diet without exercising can be harmful to your health as well. You need to create muscle mass -- even lean muscle mass not only lose weight but also stay healthy.

It's all about a commitment to change. Make a commitment and stick to it.

Thankfully I do have good support, he supports me in everthing thing I do, only he does not exercise with me, which concidering he works hours a day out side in the cold I dont blame him. But he follows my rutine, and is involved. I just want people to actually talk to that are working on loosing weight as well. My biggest problem with loosing weight is not that I eat too much, it's that I don't eat enough. As dumb as that sounds, it's true. I need to eat a few good meals aday, instead of one so so meal. I am working on that now, I work goofy hours so fitting in 3 good meals a day is hard. I work 12 hour days 7am to 7 pm...so getting in the rutine of brining a healthy lunch to work is my biggest problem. I have been picking the " healthiest" thing out of the machine, and its just not working! or I skip it all together, and that is not good either. as far as working out goes, I have some medical conditions that do not allow me to work out on the days that I work, but I do work out on the days I do not work. ( my job in itself is a work out ).
Thank you all for the replys it is so nice getting ideas and opinions from people in the same boat. And to verify my age I am almost 32 ( my caps locks must have been off before hee hee )
Have a great day all!!
