Looking for good workout suggestion to lose weight and get a bit of muscle tone

I'm 18 and I've always been a bit porky, but I want to change that. I'm 6'2" and weigh around 240 lbs or so. I'm not grotesquely obese, but I'm quite a bit chubbier than I should be. I'm going to grad at the end of the month, then go back home for work. Over the summer I'll have access to my home gym which consists of a lateral bar, curling bar, and a setup for butterflies and vertical presses. For cardio I'm planning to use a skipping rope being that with the area I'll be in I won't be able to walk for longer than five minutes in one direction much less jog. I also have a punching bag. I realize I'm not going to see astronomical results being that I only have 2-4 months or so until I move again, but I'd like to get a good start on it. So can I get some suggestions on a good workout routine with my available equipment to get rid the ever unfortunate man boobs and belly as well as supplements I should be taking, and get some half decent muscle tone?
