Looking for a buddy: 214 pounds; goal 170 pounds

Hey Guys,

I am looking for a weight loss buddy. Currently weigh 214 pounds on a bad day, looking to shed around 45 pounds and go to my goal weight of 170. I am 6" 2" and have a large build. I started weight loss at age 18 when I weighed almost 240 and went down to 190, but over first year of college, eating junk and not exercising went up to 210 and over the past few months, to 214. My short term goal is to be ~200 by New Years day, and my long term goal is to be ~175 by May 1st. Then I will start strength training. Currently, I will just focus on proper diet and serving sizes, and factor in cardio (1 hr) at least four times a week. I will put in some calisthenics too. It would be nice to have buddies looking to help me/who have similar goals as me. Thanks!

mind if i join you guys. i am at 209 just now. im 5'9 and looking to gets down to 180 or lower by next summer.
 
Currently at 214. I can tell the difference, lost a lot of fat and looking a little leaner.

I am 6' with big bones (According to the doc) so I have about 20 pounds to go.


I wouldn't mind bulking up the right way though- muscle not fat.
 
from 222 to 214 in few weeks is amazing. i got down to 208 but now i seem to be back up to 211-212ish. i really need to sort out my diet but with my exams coming up it just seems impossible!! i know im not eating too much. i think its either that i am no eating enough or i am just not eating the right kinds of food.
