long term results

i'm pretty scrawny, a lot of the men in my family are skinny too. i swim and i've been lifting so i can become stronger to improve my times. when i lift i notice results, but i dont feel like they're staying.
i'm thinking this could be because of my diet? i tend to eat pretty poorly just because i'm busy all the time, if i ate healthier and took in more protein, would i see more long term results?

Uh, yeah. Most definitely. That's actually the basic idea behind bulking. Eat enough to create a caloric surplus, but try to get it clean food, and lots of it protein. Do some reading of the stickies, you'll be aight.
