I'm on a 1200 calorie per day diet to lose 20 pounds. I log everything I eat but wonder if I should also log the exercise and, if so, allow more calories in my diet --- or use net calories.
My software is CalorieKing. I don't know if anyone has used it but it has a great database and I have all my personal foods and meals in it so it's fast and easy to keep a log.
But it gives me under 1200 calories and then when I log the exercise I could actually eat 1300 calories or so, depending on how much I exercise and how much I choose to eat.
My first week using that system didn't help me lose anything. In the past I simply ate 1200 calories and didn't log the exercise and I lost weight. I'm not sure which I should do this time. Of course, at 64 it's hard to lose weight no matter what you do.
Thanks in advance.
