I have posted in my "50 Pounds to Subaru" journal since last October. Essentially I had been working towards losing weight for a costume I was building. But - that time has come and gone! You can see the costume now in my avatar.

I ended up 16.6 pounds over my hoped for "50 Pounds" but I am still proud of myself. I have revamped my goal to get down to 150 and have a new ticker as of today!

I am going to develop a new weight loss chart and reanalyse my goals. I am getting better and better at casually eating better food. My new lifestyle is becoming an actual lifestyle instead of constant effort.

I will still post regularly and will phase in and out of excitement about weight loss. But - my first milestone as been passed and there's just life ahead now!

First of all, good for you! You've done an awesome job so far and you can really see it in your pictures!

I'm glad that you find your new lifestyle easier and less of an effort, I'm finding the same thing. Though at times there's some struggle, it's becoming more of a new life habit instead of the old habits.

I wish you luck on reassessing your goals and accomplishing them! You've come this far already I know you'll succeed in your next set of goals for sure!
 
Congratulations on all your past success and I am excited for this new journey!! You accomplished so much last time and I am so looking forward to seeing what you will do with this new journal/goal. :) I can't wait for January!! Talk to you soon:)
 
Way to go for a new goal and a new diary :) you look so fantastic now you should be ever so proud of yourself as to how far you've come - I know you will get to where you want to go...

Well..<embarrassed laugh> my first day or two on starting over haven't gone well. Yesterday I slipped up several times and ended up at 2376 calories. Oops.

Doing better today though!

I'm just slipping up too often. I have been hovering around the same weight for 6 weeks because I do well for 2 days then cheat for 1.

I need to stop allowing myself to see it as "OK" to cheat just this once more. For Pete's sake, it will only be another 3-5 months before I'm at my goal weight if I just do this thing! Then I can adjust to a more normal eating style. After all, I've hovered at the same weight for 6 weeks so I know I can maintain!

Having a structured eating pattern is really nice if you can do it. I eat generally the same thing in the morning and afternoon and I know what those calories are. Then I mix it up for dinner but usually chicken and veggies. It helps because the calories are already figured out for me and I know what I can get away with and what I can't. You will get back into the groove soon!
 
Hey! I can totally understand about the whole doing good for a couple days and then cheat for one. I used to do that kinda thing in the past... and it doesn't work. It's ok to have a cheat day every once in a while. Maybe you should set up a day where you can eat what you like. I know in my cardio kickboxing/ resistance training course we watch what we eat through the week and then sunday is our free day. So maybe something like that will help you keep on track, knowing that... hey, this is my day to eat what I want so I have to be good on the rest!

I ended at my caloric goals yesterday! Woohoo!

But this morning I was up to 177.2.

I think it's my exercise that's been off. It's been a while since I've really really sweated it out hard. Yesterday I went to the gym but I'm just now getting over some soreness from the convention.

It's also time for me to start any day now and I have pimples growing on my face so I'll take that as well.

No matter what the cause, I'm still down from this day last month.
 
Yay for reaching your caloric goals! You'll get back to the exercise in no time. Good luck with everything :D
 
This is probably the best behaved I have been on the weekend - ever.

175.2 today!

Friends are coming over to work out soon, I'd better go change.
 
Wow. How refreshing to read your new journal and see you in your costume. Very uplifting. You will lose those last pounds. The main thing is you got this far and have done a great favour to your body. Keep up the good work. You are very inspiring.

Well, 174.6 again this morning, which I'll take as a success. I was kind of hoping for another new low, but not gaining is just as awesome.

oh, and I found 100 calorie packs of breyers ice cream. It's AMAZING. Portion control has always been my weak point and this has just enough ice cream to do the trick. I know the 100 calorie trend is overprices, but I love it nonetheless.
 
Oh, sometimes those 100 calorie packs are worth their weight just for the educational factor alone ;)

Who knew a pint of ice cream wasn't a single serving???
