Hi all, im liz im 22 from ireland. Just recently started my 500th diet (lol) and im hoping i can keep track of it here.

I started 2 weeks ago at 17 stone(OMG) im only 4ft 10 so you can imagine how big i look cos im so small.

Last week i weighed myself and i was 16stone 7 pounds (yay) and my bmi was 47.3

This week i am 16stone 5 pounds and my BMI is 47.6(i dont know why thats up)

Also on my period this week and apparantly you retain water on it so i could be ligter than i think:)

So far so good. Im hoping to be 15 stone 7 by june 28th as its my friends birthday.So thats 12ponds in 5 weeks. Im giving myself small goals as i tend to get bored with long term goals.

Im starting the Gym with my partner tomorrow so ill kepp ya updated

4. Why do you want to lose weight?
Health, self esteem,one ex in piticular whos cruel jibes hurt me i want to see his face when im slim,sick of being known as the fat friend.Sick of looking at pics of nights out and thinking"God im some size".

5. Do you want to lose weight for a specific life event such as wedding or
reunion? If so, when is that event?
No.

6. What obstacles could get between you and your weight loss goals?
Beer. Burning out or getting bored with my exercise.

7. Why do you think that you now have a weight problem?
i drink too much beer,i love my take aways after a night out, the only excercise i get is walking to the shop

8. What lifestyle changes do you think would help you lose weight?
No drinking(and if i do drink stay off the beer), feeling confident in myself

9. Have you lost weight in the past? If so, what has worked in the past to
help you lose weight?
two years ago i lost two stone and got down to 14 stone and it was freom just exercising and eating well

10. Why do you believe that you did not lose weight or you gained the
weight back?
I got back into old habits, had people telling me i looked great so i thought "well i look great now so no need to keep losing weight"

11. What, if anything, has not worked for you in the past in helping you to
lose weight? Why do you think it did not work?
I went on crash diets and got angry when i didnt change from a size 18 to a 10 in a week, stupid i know!!

12. Would you try writing down all food and drink consumed for a given
period of time?
Already do.

13. Do you cook at home often? If so, what do you cook?
I dont cook a lot have mostly sandwiches and if i do cook i have pasta

14. How often do you go out to eat? Where do you go?
We rarely go out to eat, so when we do, I choose what I want.

15. What are your three favorite foods?
pasta carabonara, chicken kiev and cheese

16. What are your three favorite restaurants?
dont have any

17. What are three things you can do differently when it comes to food?
drink water during my meal, use smaller plates, stop using butter

18. If you woke up tomorrow and your body was exactly the way you want
it, what would be different?
I'd love myself and id feel i could take on the world.

19. Do you eat when you are not hungry?
Yes i work mornings and my partner works until 4pm so i get bored

20. Do you binge eat (large amounts at a time)?
Ya id sit down and have a plate of pasta and id still be hungry so id go make more:(

21. Do you hide your food or eat in secret?
No.

22. Do you eat when you are sad, nervous, or depressed?
kind of

No

Yes.

25. What do you normally eat for a meal?
toasted cheese sandwich, pasta, sausage rolls

normally popcorn or chocolate

ATM its just cleaning at work and at home

28. Where do you go for exercise? A local public gym? School/work gym?
i will be starting the gym tomorrow

29. What, if anything, are your three favorite types of exercise?
i like swimming, dancing and the cross trainer

30. What is your daily/weekly/monthly/yearly motivation to move towards
your goals?
Atm i dont have one, just the joy of throwing out clothes that are 2 big for me spurs me on, and i have lots of clothes that are too small atm taht im looking forward to fitting into

LoL... seems like beer is your downfall. Can't blame you, I enjoy going out and drinking to unwind too.:cheers2:

It's awesome you joined a gym. I hope that goes well for you. I've belonged to a couple gyms in the past and got bored at one and hated the second one I belonged too for they kept trying to get me to buy their products. I hope your experience is better!

too bad we cant take pictures of the exact moment our exes see us looking slim and gorgeous!!! that would be priceless!!!
 
Had a grand day yesterday, had about 5 litres of water(seriously) the Champions league final was on last night and my fella bought himself a few cans espically for it, but when he saw i was drinking water he left the cans in the fridge and drank water with me, what a sweety.few people have commented weight loss in my face yay!!

I have to go to work now im in cleaning for 2 hours then when i get home we are going to the gym, my fellas off work for 2 days so he will come with me for the next 2 days.

just back from work , 2 of the girls never showed up so 2 of us were doing the work of 4 people so was v fast paced2 hours- thats gotta be worth a few cals lol.

EDIT AGAIN LOL

just back from the gym, i did...

10mins on tredmill
10 mins on rower
10 mins on cross trainer
10 mins on bike

Nearly had a fat attack but i feel so much better after it

Heya Liz, im a Liz also :D

Good weight losses there! though the beginning of any weight loss always has those cool big losses at the beginning.
 
most of it 12 months, but 2 years total (well almost 2 now).
I lost nothing for about 6 months, i took a break once i got past my major goals, im now just finishing the last little bit.

HAD A LOOK AT UR PROGESS PICS AND U LOOK FAB- U WERE BIGGER THAN I AM NOW SO YOUR MY HERO LOL:hurray:
 
So far...

Just want to say so far i have found this place a massive help, when i look at the progress pics it gives me inspiration, it makes me think i can do it, i KNOW ill do it. I have no reason not to.

Going to the gym about2ish- and im going to weigh myself before i go in *eeekkkk* hopefully i lost something, whatever happens ill post it up anyway.

Ive decided after this goal (15st 7 pounds by june 28th) im going to try to lose around 7 pounds a month which i think is a healthy loss.

After all any loss is weight loss:piggy:
 
Down a pound yay!!! plus still on my periods but its still weight loss eh

BMI= 47.4 just back from the gym burned 100 cals on each machine so thats 400 cals ive burned in the gym today

OH and the BEST news my size 18 jeans FIT ME!!!!!!!! Im throwing out my size 22s after dinner

Im so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

EDIT for some reason the BMI on the scales is diff to my ticker- guess it doesnt matter

I know i shouldnt laugh at heavy people but im delighted! That jerk hurt me a lot and now hes waddling around the place

From what he was doing to you, he deserves to gain that weight.

Wouldn't it be trippy if all the weight you lost was transfered to him. LoL... bet you enjoy that. Then he'd know how you felt.

well so far the only difference ive noticed is in my fitness, i dont run out of breath as easilly

My sister is going to come walking with me every evening fromn the start of next week too so more exercise:)

Well done for keeping at it in the gym - I am insanely unfit and the mere thought of the gym gets me out of breath :p

I get bored with long term goals too so I'm setting ones for particular short term dates :) my first one is 2nd of July (my year 13 prom).

Hi all

feeling fab today, starting to notice my fitness in a big way, my sister kels gonna start coming to the gym and swimming with me, and as i mentioned my other sister gill is going to come walking with me in the evenings.

Im feeling so good in myself, i was in my sisters house the other day and my sis gill hadnt seen me in a few weeks and she kept going on about how great i looked gave me a real boost.

Im just getting ready for work and then going to the gym afterwards, So tempted to weigh myself but want to wait until fri/sat as i weighed myself last sat

Tho all in all its been a great week so far

EDIT- just back from the gym had a great workout and resisted the urge to weigh myself yay!!!

Im Not Happy Ive Been Breaking My Back All Week In The Gym And I Only Lost A Pound

Why Do I Bother:(

You bother because maybe next week the scale will read a few more pounds less than before.

You're doing a great job! Just keep it up.

Dont go so much by what the scale reads, but by how you feel after working out and how you feel in your clothes.
