Well I'm 17 and for a while now I've wanted to drop some weight and become healthier and more firm. When I was in 8th grade I partook in both cheerleading and volleyball and in that time I didn't lose weight, but I toned up. I'm hoping to get back to that physically fit state and get back to the weight I was then. I didn't start gaining weight until the past year, where steadily I grew from 160 to where I am now at 190. My dad became ill with cancer and due to the stress I pretty well quit eating and dropped out of school, and because I spent all day either lying around or eating junk comfort food if I was eating at all, I packed on the pounds. He passed away just before Christmas, and things aren't quite the same, but the stress of constant hospitals and worrying about him is gone. I decided to turn around and I'm back in school and getting out to socialize. That alone has kickstarted my weight loss by a couple pounds but going out and getting into things like parkour and just plain running with my friends is really making me want to take charge of my weight and lifestyle, especially because I wont have this metabolism forever and if I don't change my ways, I'll be hitting 200 and over. I'm 5'4'' with a medium build, so my goal is between 150 and 160 lbs.
I'm super excited to be here and learn as much as I can and maybe make some friends. =)
