Heyyyyy! :seeya:

So I've been gone for a loooong time, and I am very very very very very sorry for it!

It's been pretty hectic over the last couple of months, with work and then moving into my new house and uni starting again. However, hopefully now I'll be able to keep this updated! I may not be able to be on every day, as I get given loads of assessments a week but I will be trying my hardest!

Since I've been gone I've lost about 10 pounds, so I'm happy with that. I'm of the opinion that if you lose weight slowly, you're more likely to keep it off. But I still feel like a heffalump :(

I'm constantly fighting temptation because I'm surrounded by takeaways! I've already had 3 since I've been here, so the housemates and I have decided now to have no more than 1 a month haha!

So yeah, I'm back on it now! Will be good to start writing down what I eat again :)

New diary... new start!

I love take aways, but I am happy that now I live where they are a rare commodity. After a year of eating out almost daily (and I mean it, we ate out probably 6 days a week) I am so happy to have more control over my diet again. Woohoo!

We have similar goals (BMI wise), are both about halfway. I find it quite hard, I do feel like a heffalump (love that!) but I also feel and look so much better than when I first started that I do not have the same urgency to lose the weight. I am giving it a proper go now, the next 2 and a half months I want to try to lose most of the rest weight, start 2010 looking fab!

Have a great week and here is to a new diary and a new start! Camy

Hey Davekyn & Camy! Thanks for stopping by :)

I know takeaways are awful... they just taste so goooood!! There's a Lebanese one up the road as well, and I have never tried Lebanese food before... I'm going to have to try it one day! Just not until next month now :p

Camy: I feel like I look exactly the same as I did when I started :( though I have managed to fit into a top which I'd never worn before because it was too tight! Woohoo!
And also, definitely want to be at my goal by new year! Though christmas may be a slight setback... haha!

Todays Food Diary:

Cup of spicy lentil soup
Half a strawberry and apple pie
Custard
2 glasses of juice
lotsa water

Calories: 1,035

Yesyesyes I know this is not ideal, but I didn't wake up til late and I knew I'd be having pie which would have gone off today... so I didn't eat as much :S but I didn't really feel hungry all day! It took me 20 minutes to have the soup then just felt sick after the pie :S

Exercise-wise I have done nothing. This is where I have a slight dilemma in that the area I live in is always really busy at all hours, and the floorboards in my house are really creaky! So I don't really know what to do....
Weekdays I will be walking to and from uni at least once a day, but I feel like I need something more!

I suck with the food, but am good at getting active. I remember once starting out by jogging on the spot, but given with what you say, maybe you could consider some body resistance exercises, that do not jolt the floor boards. Perhaps google with search strings, such as Office Exercise/Traveling Exercise/calastenics (sorry can't spell)/Body resistance...

If you feel as if you should be doing more...then my bet is that you most defianatley should be doing more. Walking is fantastic to help drag one self out of the sedentary pit, we find ourselves in. Walking helps to strengthen the bones & muscle, whilst clearing our heads & helps us to see just how much more we could be really doing. It's a great feeling when you get to that stage. For me it was walking 5km twice a day.

The best advice I could give you- is to simply "try to make time" start with some low impact arobics on the spot without bouncing on the floor boards :) ... You seem ready to start so just add to what your doing. Just go a little out of your comfort zone each time, without over doing it. Keep it consistant with some recovery days. Give it a few months before quitting!!!!! I jogged on the spot for two weeks, walked for 2 months & a few more months after that I am now able to run a little.

Just sweat a little each day...I reackon you can do it...You certainly sound switched on enough! ...(lot's of iPhone typo's-please exscuse)...

If you don't have much time & you really want to do somthing, could you consider "renting a treadmill" rental prices are a LOT cheaper from electrical/furniture rental agents as aposed to a sports retailer...all you would have to do, to lower the noise is put a rug under it...if that's not an option a "light set of dumbells" could be a cheap alternative. You could easily find a program to suit your needs from googling on the net...I need sleep...Zzzzzzz, if none of those work for you, I'm sure someone else will thinkof somthing...It's good to hear that your wanting to get more active!!! Cya :)
