I was wandering through Steve's Good Reads sticky, and this article really resonated with me.
Now that I'm starting to track what I eat again, and being very conscious of hunger and satiation, I've noticed a trend. Every time I log what I eat - I feel hungry. I add foods in the popup window, flip back to the main window to check that I put all the foods on the right meals, didn't mess up the quantities, etc. Then I glance at the totals at the bottom to see where I am - and I feel hungry.
10 minutes of distraction and I'm not hungry anymore. 10 minutes of trying to decide what I should eat that would fit in the allotted calories/fat/protein/carbs I have left? I'm ravenous. Ready to eat anything in sight.
Marshmallow, I shall not look at you!
