Lateral Raises, love them, hate them?

Just did a video on lateral raises and realized the complexity of this seemingly easy exercise, before i was the guy that was putting way too much weight on the lateral dumbbell raise and wondering why i wasn't feeling as sore the next day as i should be. When i learned that in this exercise i should focus on mind-muscle connection and improving my technique as for progressively overloading i feel like i am doing a better workout. Even though i went from 8kg to 4kg dumbbell, now in order to further exhaust my delts i add more reps and not more weight. What as been you guyses experience with lateral dumbbell raises, i am curious!

Totally feel you! I used to ego lift on laterals too, barely felt anything. Dropped the weight, focused on control and now they actually burn. Slow reps + more volume > heavy swinging for me. Sometimes I do strict raises, then partials, then overhead presses all with the same light weight – killer set.
