Sport Late night workout

What do you eat after a late workout (about 9-10pm)? After browsing the forums I have gathered that before bed time you should eat some protein as it helps with muscle repair. After a workout you should eat simple carbs, but not carbs before bed as it can be stored as fat. Maybe my information is off... I've been browsing a lot on so many subjects that I may be mixing it up. (should probably start taking some good notes) Anyway, what if I did some cardio workout at night before bedtime, what should I eat then? I was thinking about having some low carb/sugar yogurt. Or is it ok if I eat nothing?
