LastXdeth Aboard!

Hey yall!

I joined this forums because I am frustrated about my exercise complication and so was looking for some helpful tips. By the glance of it, this community seem to really know their stuff!

What is your fitness goal? Do you want to gain more muscle size or lean out? Do you want to lose or maintain your weight? How long have you been working out? Are you doing the same exercises? How's your diet? Once you tell me what your fitness goals are and elaborate a little more I would be happy to help you. By all means don't give up no matter what. Getting in shape and staying fit is a lifestyle and requires discipline meaning that you can't let life in itself get in your way of what you want to accomplish for your personal fitness. Sometimes it's hard but you have to take good care of yourself and put yourself first because I've learned through my own experience and obsesrvation that no one else would put your first. And if you don't take good care of yourself that you wouldn't be of any good to your most important people in your life.

Hey musclelady!

I have already posted in the Body Building section, but I might as well post here too. I just need help on one altercation that is making my crunches unejoyable. No matter what I try, I get neck pain when I do my crunches. I do cross my arm over my chest and I keep my eyes pointed at the celing, but no success. I don't know if it's a muscle weakness or maybe poor form.

Oh, and by the way, thanks for the advice. It was pretty motivating!

You're definately welcome. It sounds like to me that form is your issue. When you do crunches not only keep your eyes up but also keep your chin up as you go up. Keep your hands relaxed on the back of your head also and don't pull your head with them. And as you go up pull up with your abs. Have you tried crunches on an exercise ball? Do them on the ball and still keep your chin up as you go up and exhale. Inhale is when you go back down. Also as you go up squeeze your abs as you go up. If you still don't like the crunches there are different kind of ab excercies that you can try. You can go on the bodybuilding website to get some ideas on ab exercises. Chrunches after a while your body will get used to that crunching motion (like any other exercises that you would do for the rest of your body) and you'll plateau. I've been working out for 7 years and the biggest challenge for myself is trying to find different things to keep myself challenged so that I won't get bored. I myself go to bodybuilder.com to look for exercises that I've never done before and they keep me challenged. I hope that this helps and keep up with your fitness regimen and keep doing well.:D Don't get me wrong crunches are great to start with but as your abs get used them then there's no challenge if that's all you do for abs. Like any muscle in your body you also have to keep your abs challenged so that they can develop and progress. Best of luck to you and keep me posted on your progress I would love to hear from you.

Thanks, I'm going to implement all you said into a 200 sit-up challenge I discovered. Just one question, how far should crunches go. I know your shoulder blade just have to get above the floor. After a few sets, my ability to go up starts to suffer.
