Hello all, I have a question...Im 5'7" and I weigh 137...I REALLY want to weigh about 125, BUT I cant lose the weight no matter how hard I try!!!
Now I know you must burn 500 more cals. a day then you consume in order to lose a pound a week. So, I thought I would get a heart rate watch to find out how many I burn! So, typically I burn 3500 a day and I eat like 2000 But so I should we losing like 2-3 pounds a week....WELL I still weigh 137 what is the problem?

You've just hit a plateau because your metabolize has caught up to your new routine. Your body doesn't naturally want to lose weight, it wants to keep up a level of homeostasis in your body so it can work against you when you're trying to lose the last few pounds.

The best thing I would recommend is to really shake up your exercise routine. Do stuff you've never done before that is very cardio intensive like stair training (I mean SERIOUS stair climbing) or if you typically walk/jopg instead of run, trying doing some serious running. I also find, personally, that doing this stuff outside or in buildings (like the stairs) burns more than in a gym. I definitely notice a different burn when I run outside and on weeks where I exercise outside rather than go to the gym I actually lose a bit more weight (not significant but it's something!). The natural elevations in the pavement can affect different muscle groups than the treadmill at the gym.

I don't know where you're from but there's a show on TV called the "Last Ten Pounds Bootcamp" and they have some interesting stuff about how to go about it. Granted, some of it isn't super realistic but they do demonstrate ways in which you can really push your body.

Good luck!!

Based on the limited info, and these key sentences. I think you're diet is off "I eat LIKE 2000"

I would eat "like" 1800 and try that.

or... you could be more precise with your counting. I.e Food scale and log everything. then you could have 2000 cals and you will drop pretty quickly.
