Has any other women noticed, their monthly cycle changing with their diet change and weight loss?

dont know if it has to do with weight loss, but mine used to be 5 days and now its more like 7 or 8.

oh.. to only be 7 or 8. :( AGHH!! I swear if I didn't want children I'd be screaming take out the uterus now! ;) Unfortunately..that'd just start menopause early too. lol!

I have found mine are not as bad usually about 3 days and with a lot less cramping . It use to be bad after I had my C-section and my tubes tyed .

Now that I have gained weight my period is longer, I normally had it for 2 days but only during the day, now it is more like 6-7days all day and night. I don't care for it too much. But, I have also noticed that aftermyu ovulation period like a week before my period I am VERY hungry all the time, sometimes I think I could eat my whole house!

mine has been a bit screwy as well. i am on the pill so i guess it is technically more "contained", however, i missed one (supposedly due to stress - yes, that stressed me out more!)...and now, about an extra day or so lately...not sure what it is attributed to, but that's just my 2 cents ;)

Hmm, hadn't noticed. I will try to pay attention next time it changes. I have experienced the change when you are around other women, the cycles sometimes line up. Interesting...

I've been on depo for over 5 years and I haven't had my period ever since I started it. I don't know how I would react to a period again

Holy Moly! No emily embryo for 5 yrs? Wow! Do you get moody on the depo? Every time I tried the pill, I felt crazy mood swings around the time you switch to the little magic sugar pills the week before Emily comes to visit. It was so predictable that my ex would look at my pill pack to know when to watch his step. lol

Angela: Phew..5yrs. Wow, I would love to be free!! ;)

MissJB: that is hilarous!! lol! Sorry :)

Well I wish I knew what was going on. From my calculations, I'm spotting during ovulation, but not your "real light" stuff. So from what I've researched, it may mean I'm not ovulating at all. Which hey, is great cause we're not ready for kids, but sucks when we want to try! Oy, but we'll see what the actual dr, has to say, and not just my "theories!!" lol! :)

Yeah Dana wait to hear what the doctor says :) I'm sure you're fine and that with dieting it just has you all out of whack.
MJ - I would say that I still PMS, I know when ladies in my office are on it and I get cravings, and the week before of what I guess would be my TOM I feel super small and then the following week I feel bloated as heck. The whole reason I went on depo was so I wouldn't have a period :) I cheat..hehe!! But seriously when I just went for my annual I spoke to my dr. about whether I should stay on it or not or if I should switch to the pill. I know that my fiance' and I want to have kids and with being on the depo for as long as I have been it could take up to a year for it to get completely out of my system. She suggested that I wait and stay on it until after the wedding, there's no sense in have a TOM for my honeymoon :) She said once we get back she thinks I should either switch over to the pill or not go on anything...I think I'll be going on the pill knowing my luck I'll stop the depo and be pregnant in a month. We want kids but not till our second year of marriage :)

SOunds like a good plan Ang! :) LOL.. I'm not on anything currently, but that may get reconsidered soon, as we don't want any for a year or two either! ;)

I used to have ones that were really heavy, but it seemed to be more from my hypothyroidism than anything else. I had started different types of bc to try to regulate it. I had bad luck with that depo that Angela was talking about the second time I tried it after my youngest. My TOM never stopped! Then I started that new bc, Seasonale, where you only have one every three months. At first, it would stop and start all the time, but then it finally started getting to every three months like it was supposed to. However, now that my hypothyroidism is in check (levels are normal with my meds), it only seems to be about three or four days right on time.

Dana, Have you started a new bc lately?

Angela, About 11 years ago, I tried that depo shot for the first time. I only took it once at that time and then decided that I wanted to have a baby. It took me nine months after the time I was supposed to have went in for my second shot before I got pregnant!
