Hello!

I'm new here. A friend told me about the site. I'm Zoe. I weigh 270lbs at 5'11 and an hopefully enlisting in the military. The military weight standard requires me at 170 ish. I've already lost 30 lbs since the beginning of this year but lately I've been finding it hard to get out and walk/jog or to go to the gym. I don't have many friends that would go with me and I always feel so awkward going by myself. I can't afford a personal trainer (although i think that would be REALLY helpful for me). Any ideas or suggestions to help me?

Congrats on the weight loss so far! Have you taken a look around at your local rec centres and community centers? Often they will have free or low-cost group walking programs that get you out and meeting others who might be in the same situation as you. Around here, starting a journal in the weight loss diary section or joining one of the club challenges can be a really good idea to keep you going and to have others give you motivation and feedback!
