Kooky's Diary

I have been wanting to do this since January 1. Here I am six months later. It's difficult for me to stick with any one program for any length of time. I tend to lose interest very quickly. My first goal is to be more consistent with my daily routine and to stop procrastinating. I want to incorporate a healthy and balanced lifestyle into my daily routine. This means that I need to work on eliminating bad habits such skipping meals, binge eating, consuming sugary snacks, sleeping all day (on the weekends) and not exercising. Today I made sure to eat breakfast (Kashi cereal w/blueberries and strawberries & soy milk).

Taking the necessary steps to realize my goals will hopefully lead not only to a better body but towards a path of self-acceptance, positive thinking and an overall sense of well-being.

Today is the first day of many in acheiving my goals. My goals for today include making an entry in my diary and eating breakfast. I will need to take little bitty baby steps at first inorder to stay focused and on task. Otherwise, I will either give-up, feel overwhelmed, or lose interest.

Today I am 177.5 pounds at 5'8. My goals for the week include cutting down on sugary snacks, eating breakfast & lunch and taking a 15 minute walk 3x with stretching before and after. My longterm goal for the week will be to report my overall progress or lack thereof on this forum next Sunday, 7/8.

Thanks for reading and have a wonderful week! :jump:

Best!

Welcome!

Welcome to the forum, I'm new too! I am 39, married, we live in California. I have 2 kids, boy 13 and girl 12. We are all eating healthy and exercising together. Hubby and I are the only fat ones, but kids needed to re-think their eating habits a bit too. I will check in from time to time and try to motivate you so you don't "lose interest" - K?
