Knee problems

I am trying to lose weight by doing cardio. I weigh about 215 lbs and am 5"8'. in summer i done lots of running and cut down from 223lbs in 3 - 4 weeks. The only problem is my knees really hurt. After all that running i couldn't bare running anymore. i find playing football (soccer) a struggle because after about 10 mins i feel legless and my performance gets very poor. I really want to lose weight so i can enjoy sports more.

Anyone got any suggestion of any sorts? :costumed6:

you said in your other thread that you are using the rowing machine. keep using that! or use a stationary bike on high intensity. :)

Knee Problems

Generally if your knees hurt your thighs are weak. You will feel better and have more weight loss success if you combine a day or two of weight training targeting your thighs and calves with natural movement exercises. My favs are squats with a large ball behind the back as a warm up. Followed by seated leg presses and finishing with dead lifts. Then move to the bike for 10 to 15 mins. End with 9 mins of running and 1 min all out sprint.
This is also a topic for discussion. I feel better since I stopped doing a lot of stretching. What everyone's opinion on stretching? I do my training with weights, a few machines, body weight exercises, core work and cardio at the end. I train hard five days per week and rarely feel stiff since I stopped stretching. If I can force myself to open water swim train I hope to do another triathlon at sixty. Any training suggestions? Good luck Bubbles you look great, but add more muscle.
