Well hey, Mussie. Let me introduce myself first. My name is Stephen not Valentine817. I have a knack for people and helping them live life to the extreme, the happiest, healthiest, worry-free life that they can have. I guess that's why I entered the nutrition field from the get-go. Anyways, to answer your question.
First things first, anybody can lose weight. it's cliche, I'm sure you have heard it before. It's not as easy as calories in=calories out, as you probably have heard, also. Think about it, not everybody who is overweight ate a surplus of calories all the time. To further my point obesity is a genetic inheritance, you're body mechanisms don't work optimolly but you may be just as healthy as can be. To manipulate your body mechanisms there are many things you can do.
On another note, the best way to start a diet is to, well, start one. It's of course not something you, me, or anyone can do in one day. It takes days, maybe weeks of getting used and accumstom to.
STEP 1: Educate yourself on the dangers of certain foods. Trans-fat is by far the worst fat you can put into yoru body, it's NOT natural. It's a damaged poly-unsaturated fat, which means it's unstable, which=problems. Here's an example that scared me away from all fast food.
Our body is made up of billions of cells, Correct?
We are building new cells all of the time
Fat is required to make cells.
Trans-fat is something that is unstable=not smooth
Trans fat disguises itself as saturated fat (which we need)
This trans fat then enters the cell, deforming it.
When this happens, the cell cannot function properly
Hormones are not uptaken correctly and signals are slower
This happens in the brain, also. (alhzeimers anyone?)
=Slower learning, higher blood pressure, heart complication, learning disabilities, slow coordination...you get the picture...
And they want us to eat this all day long?
A side note, trans fat are also coupled with simple sugars that can be just as detrimental to health. This is another story...
To wrap this up
1. Read lables
2. Stay away from sugar
3. drink PLENTY of water (every chemical reaction requires it)
4. Walking is a good way to start
5. Exercise as much as you feel you are ready for (carry a basket instead of using a buggy)
6. Keep your mind on health. Fast food is literally poison for our bodies if consumes even 4 times a week.
7. Don't let up, fast food is easy to get, but it will do much more than make one gain weight. it can keep you from losing it, also.
When you hear the word diet, don't think Atkins. Think extraordinary lifestyle change. You are going on a adventure indefinetely. This new food variety that you will introduce into your diet will completely change your life, the way you feel, think, act, your mood, your outlook, you will have a new body that you are so proud of. It's an adventure that you really don't want to miss. An adventure that, sadly, 60% of adult Americans, do miss. Life should be an adventure, not a sedentary monotinous habit... I think we can all agree.
If you have anymore questions PM me. I would love to help you.
Sincerely,
Stephen James
