Kettlebells

Hello all!

I have heard that kettlebells are the way to go and produce fantastic results.

I was just wondering if anyone here had trained with them much and what kind of results they got from using them?

Would appreciate any information :)

kettlebells are basically just dumbbells with center of gravity moved away from where you grip them. They will give you the same results as other resistance training will, but some movements are specific for the kettlebells, just like some are specific to the barbell et.
 
I have trained with them and I really like them. I use them at the gym, but I don't think they are worth the cost for me to include in my home gym as I already own dumbbells and body bars. They are a little different and give you some variety, but they aren't different enough for my tastes (to own them).
 
If I had dumbbells I probably wouldn't have ordered one but I don't have anything like that anymore so thought I would give one a go.

I'm both intrigued and repulsed by them at the same time :D The workouts they tell you to do are exactly what they tell you not to do when using dumbells/barbells (DON'T SWING!), but at the same time it seems pretty cool and I've heard good things.
I won't judge till I've tried them, but I don't see me trying them anytime soon.
 
yeah some of the workouts are way more dynamic and, some would argue I guess, functional. But some of the dumbbell movements would be dumb to do with them due to the strain it'd put on the wrist... I think. Idunno :p I guess if its good enough for the russian army

A friend of mine has been using them and he swears by them. He is also looking fantastic!
Although I have seen some mixed reviews online. I guess they aren't for everyone but I will hopefully enjoy them!
