Okay. My name is KellyChristine. I am a 28 year old woman in the Seattle area. I currently weigh 222 pounds, and I have been diagnosed as 'pre-diabetic'. My lifestyle change began with removing all of the High Fructose Corn Syrup from my kitchen, and I am walking briskly for 30 minutes every day (EVERY DAY). In addition, I have started bowling with a league, and I am beginning to learn how to golf. I am not sure what else to do...

-- How much weight do you want to lose? 82 pounds

-- What is the timeframe for reaching your target weight? Well, my doctor says I need to make some progress by my next appointment or else I will be medicated. So I would like to lose 20-30 pounds by July.

-- How do you want to accomplish your goal (what methods do you want to use)? More exercise is key for me I think - My eating is not too bad, but I started a food journal online to see for sure.

-- Who or what can support you in reaching your goal? Friends with the same battle, more information, and MOTIVATION. I am scared to death of diabetes, I am a round person with a lot of belly fat and a family history of diabetes and heart disease...

-- How realistic is your goal? I think it's doable.

-- When will you start? NOW.

Welcome to the WLF and to your new diary :)

Starting a food journal is a great idea - weightloss is primarily knowing just how much food is going in. Getting portion control down was a HUGE factor for me!

Best of luck as you lose this weight - it IS possible :D
