keeping metabolism going

Sometimes I find myself not eating for hours and coming home and eating 800+ calories and then later eat some foods. But my question is, during the time where I don't eat for hours, does keeping full with water keep my metabolism going?

Are you sure you know what metabolism is? its basically involves the breakdown and synthesis of macromolecules. Water does play a small part in breaking down the molecules by hydrolising bonds (cutting it up). But drinking lots of water isnt really going to do anything, metablosim doesnt just stop/start/slowdown/speed up in response to water.

well I meant by keeping it full. I've read some articles and a lot of them say eating more increases metabolism. So I am asking does water trick the body to think it is full?

No, your body is not that stupid. It needs real nutrients, carb, protein, and fat to sustain. When you don't eat for hours, your body has no fuel to burn, and likely resorts to muscle for energy. And then when you finally eat that huge meal, it refills its stores, and stores the rest away as fat. Eat small, regular meals to maintain, WHILE drinking plenty of water along the way.
