Over the years I have a pattern in dieting. I'm all in to the diet for the first two weeks, the I fall off the healthy wagon (hard).
That is why I wanted to try some thing new!
I am starting this Diary now, because this is the time that I will start lying to myself. Like "no one will know that I ate this cheese burger and slice of cheese cake at lunch" They don't know, So who is telling :(
That is my story in a nut shell. I lie to myself, But my weight, tells my story like a Book.:eek:
I will post at the end of every night, And I will keep it real.
Thanks for all the support so far.
I can tell you will help me be strong:)
 
Hi Kdel! Here you are! :) I'm glad I found you! I also have the same problem with falling off and need support...so how about this plan...we support each other and often. That way I will feel guilty if don't come around. Sound like a plan? I find this place is very big sometimes and it's hard for everyone to get around to everyone's diary although I have already had so much great support! If we have support in each other then it is always there.

I will be joining challenges every month starting in Novemeber. I can't wait till then as I know it will really motivate me! Until then...my journal will be my only motivation here.

You can do this Kdel...just keep posting! :) Let's help each other...okay sister? ;)

Welcome to the WLF and to your diary!

I think the reason we fall hard off the wagon after going strong, might be because the "diet" is too restrictive. You have to find a way to make the foods you love fit into your lifestyle, otherwise, it won't matter what 'eating plan' you're on, you won't follow it. I know I wouldn't!

Conratulations on taking the steps to reach your goal!

Dieting might work to get those lbs off quickly, but once you go back to your old ways they're gonna come right back on.
You gotta change your lifestyle.
For me.. I know I would never follow a diet b/c I've tryed it before.
So now.. I'm still eating what I love but I've just taken down the portions and recording the calories :)

Anywho! Just keep doing great and you'll be at your goal in no time at all :D
 
Thank You for all the support, cuz I need it.
Today I feel kind of cruddy,like I should be doing better.
I am eating small bits of food every three hours.
Feel free to tell me what you think.

8am- light yogurt-100cal
11am-Turkey sandwich=whole wheat bread,mustard,Turkey,sprouts-cal's no clue
2pm-2 snack wrap from McD's(dry)=tortilla,chicken,lettuce,cheese-cal's no clue (was that bad?)
5pm- carrots-cal's no clue
Looking back at my day ,and what I ate,I don't really know what I'm doing.
Boy oh Boy this diary makes you think.
When I started two weeks ago I weighed over 200Lbs (about 204)
Now I am at 194:D But my eating sucks, and I need to walk more.
I need a better game plan. I will work on that tonight :eek:

A lot of people seem to like SparkPeople.com for free meal plans. It really does give great suggestions, and you can switch food you don't like with something better. It gives you a great basis, so you can start learning what to do.

Hey kdel - doesn't look like you ate that much. I'm not sure what's in those McD wraps...are they supposed to be low cal? Doesn't look to bad to me at all. You might want to try to get in some more veggies & fruits or take a multi vitamin/mineral if you aren't already. I've heard (though I don't know the truth of it) that if you are missing some nutrients you don't lose fast plus it's unhealthy. I don't often get that many veggies in in a day either...something I need to work on.

I'm going to try sparkpeople...I've only tried fitday so far. It's great but doesn't have all the food I eat on it. :(

You are doing so good with your weight loss! My estimate is...if that McD wrap had no sauces...then your total intake might only be around 800 or 900 Calories. Quite low but some days are like that I think (somedays 900 calories seems like sooo much, sometimes 1800 doesn't seem enough! :D ).

Fitday is a really good one (with the exception of not having all the foods I eat there). One thing I love about it is it's ability to calculate fat, carbs, etc. and vitamins. Have you checked it out yet?

I walked with my Daughter before it got to dark, And she complained the hole time!:mad: I told her to get used to it!!! LOL Well!- Its good for her too:)
Every morning The first thing I do is drink 1 PT of water with my Vitamins
(Get that out of the way).
2 cups of coffee with non Fat milk-nothing sweet
1 cup of Light yogurt
1 Banana
Two more damed Dry snack wraps from McD's and Diet soda.
Tons of Water all day
Then I told my boss I would go to Taco Bell for him(he was starving)and he pays for the gas anyway. I had a week moment when he said he would pay to get me something. So I ate a Carmel apple empinada:(
Well I felt so good when I was eating it, and when I finished the last bite.
I had never felt so ashamed. So I went on that Fast paced walk, And that made me feel better:) Sorry so long winded! But I had to come clean, with the shame(Keeping it real)
 
Hi Kdel, don't deprive yourself of something, if you want it, eat it, just make sure its not in excess and make sure you work it off afterwards!! You did a very good thing by walking afterwards. It looks like you're doing pretty good! WTG! :D
 
Yup I agree with changeforlife! We are in this for the long run kdel. I looked up those snack wraps for you...they have 330 calories each but I'm not sure with what type of sauce...you could maybe subtract 50 calories if you have no sauce.

The Carmel apple empinada has 290 calories...

So today in my estimation, you had about 1050-1150 Calories. I wouldn't call that a bad day in terms of calories. Maybe in terms of nutrition not the best but hey it all takes time. You are doing great!

Thank you for, not making me feel bad, about yesterday.I like telling the truth about what I eat. All my life I would lie about it. Because in my twisted thinking, fibbing about what I ate made it not so bad(or guilty).
Thanks to you guys I'm changing the way I think about it-This is huge for me, because I have had it wrong all these years:D Your the best!
 
I used to be like that too about not admitting what I ate...doesn't help anything. lol I'm also learning if I don't get it one day, the next will be better if I put in more effort! I also find it takes time to build these good habits...we need to be gentle and patient with ourselves.

What did you eat today? I'm curious! Do tell!
 
Sorry I did not post last night, But My day went OK(yesterday).
1 Banana,light yogurt,Turkey sandwich (whole wheat bread-Turkey-mustard-sprouts-tomato),carrots,1cup of special K cereal,with fat free milk& lots of water.
(Every morning I have 2 cups of coffee with non fat milk,Vitamins,and water-But I'm not going to post that every time, because it's the same every day) :)
I walked with my daughter(she had her scooter)and we went two times around the big park.I picked up a walking meater last night, so I can see how far I have gone. So I will try that tonight too.I like walking,I never thought I would say that:D

I am going to try to eat my largest meal at lunch-That way I can work it off before I go to sleep. My Boss at work is so cool.We were talking about being couped up in the office. And that I don't feel safe (even if I am a big girl)walking around the office complex by my self, with all the construction workers around.
He told my he will look into getting a treadmill for the warehouse, and I could walk at work doing that!:p And if I get stinky, he does not care, because I working on bettering my self.(Sweet) I could do a campers bath to freshin up. Have a good day:)
