Why does Hollywood demand the most gorgous shapely women lose all their natural curves?
I could give a really, long-winded answer to this (as I have a great dislike for the whole Hollywood "perfection" image) but I will make it short...
Society.
People are sheep and will do whatever society tells them to. People wear the clothes that society tells them to. People drive the cars that society tells them to. People shop at stores that society tells them to. People eat at restaurants that society tells them to. People listen to the music that society tells them to. The list goes on and on and on...
Whatever society deems as "cool", "hip" and "popular", people will like. They won't like it because they
really like it, but they will like it because they are sheep and will flock to where they are told.
When cargo shorts first started being worn regularly, people thought they were ridiculous and stupid looking. A few years went by and cargo shorts were on almost every single teenage and college aged male in the country.
Why? Society.
When low-cut jeans first started being worn regularly, people thought they were trampy and slutty. A few years went by and low-cut jeans were on almost every single teenage and college aged female in the country.
Why? Society.
The same thing goes for the image of the human body. Society says that skinny, "perfect" looking women are the most desirable, so people mindlessly agree. That's why Hollywood pushes the skinny, unrealistic image so hard, because they know that people are currently flocking towards it and they just want to make as much money as they possibly can.
Personally, I hate skinny girls. I hate this phrase as well, but I like a girl "with a little meat on her bones". Unfortunately, most people can't think for themselves and refuse to let their own feelings, emotions, wants and desires show to the world, so they just blindfully follow along with what everybody else is telling them to do.
