Just When you think you are doing so well . . .

Yeah, I'm feelin' pretty good about my exercise routine. I hit it pretty hard every morning before work and workout for a little over an hour. I'm lookin' good, uh-huh! :D

So this weekend my dear hubby decides that we should throw a party on Saturday evening (5:00PM) to celebrate the completion of our new shop/garage. Only problem is they finished the bricking on Friday so there is about two & 1/2 tons of broken brick laying all over the yard around the 1600 sq/ft shop.

Nooooo, problem. I'm a powerhouse! :p

O-M-G! after moving about two tons of broken brick with a wheelbarrow, I could barely get out of bed the next morning. I had to sit down to tie my shoes!

WHY does everything hurt? I guess I need to kick it up a notch at teh gym, huh? :(

no - you were just using muscles you probably don't use every day when you are working out - don't feel so bad about it =)

and you most likely didn't think about stretching, or any of that... it's completely understandable!

there really wouldn't be any way to avoid it ... doing stretching before and after would help ... and going for a light jog to get the blood flowing and flushing out all the lactic acid that would've built up in your muslces, would've helped a bit .. but, it's completely normal. I work out quite hard at the gym and anytime i add a new exercises that i haven't done in awhile, i get extremely sore the next day ... but, i love that feeling ... means i'm working hard enough still
