Hi everyone!

In the past 17 years, I have tried every diet, joined every weight loss group, and bought every exercise tape out there. I had some success but always gain the weight back. I hit the lowest of the lows, on Tuesday (11-14-06), when I went to see a doctor about weight loss surgery. I decided that cutting and moving my organs to lose weight is too scary. On Wednesday night, depressed, disappointed, and flustrated, I came across this weight loss forum. I read some posts and felt better. For the first time in a long time, I have hope.

For now, I am not drinking my calories and eating healthy.

Success to everyone! :)

Hey, good for you! :)

I don't believe that you can find long term success in quick diets, exercise tapes or machinery bought off late night infomercials. If you can take the long approach to it, and know that you need to make permanent changes, the rewards are wonderful!

Good to hear you've quit on the high calorie drinks! Cutting out sugar almost entirely lead to me losing weight without trying too much at the beginning.

What other plans do you have?

Thousands of dollars later and years, I found out the hard way. It definally is a lifestyle change.

My plan is to do little changes. High calorie drinks are major for me. At the office, I drink atleast 6 cups of coffee. Then, I usually have atleast 6 cans of regular Pepsi a day. Now, I am drinking 6-12oz of water a day plus diet Pepsi. I swiched from sugar/cream to equal/skim milk in my coffee. So, just with this little change, I am saving atleast a 1000 calories a day.

My food plan is just to eat 3 balanced meals, nothing inbetween. Also, I stop eating after 7pm.

Exercise will come later. Right now, I don't feel my best.

I have only been doing this since this past Wednesday. The scale is moving down. :) Its a start. Success to you, Tomble!
