Just starting...

I just recently turned 28. I am 5 ft. 3 in. and I weigh 138 lbs. I have a very small frame, and I want to stop the weight gain before it gets out of hand. I am trying to lose 15 lbs. Today I left work at 4 pm and went to the gym where it took me almost 15 minutes to run a mile on the treadmill! At one point a couple years ago I had it down to 9 minutes with out even really breaking a sweat. I would like to get back there, because that is when I felt the healthiest and best about my strength and figure. Any suggestions are welcome. I think my biggest issue is eating very little one day, and then eating a lot the next day. My job requires a lot of hours, and it's not always my choice when I get to eat. If a customer comes in, and it's my turn to assist them, I have to do it even if my lunch is waiting for me...

Hey! I am around the same height as you, but I do weigh more and I am 22 years old. I know how you feel, when you think you don't get a chance to eat, its not my choice either when i get to eat and I as well work long days 7am-530pm, so after all that i really dont want to work out lol, I work with children all day and usually eat what they eat, usually healthy meals tho, so i know how you feel.
 
No kidding! Sometimes I have to work from 8:30 in the morning until after 8:00pm. It's not very often, but it's incredibly difficult to motivate to the gym after that. I end up eating crappy food in the evening because I'm too exhausted to make anything remotely complicated. There has to be something I can munch on during my long days that won't just be junk, but still satisfying and uncomplicated. Any suggestions?
