Hello ,

I'm 18 years old, 5'9 I weigh 230lbs; the highest I've ever been. I've always been chubby & a little over weight but about a year ago, my weight surged. I gained 50~60lbs during the last year from not eating right & dieting on & off.

The thing that I have the most problem is nutrition. I understand that eating 3-5 meals a day can help the metabolism move faster, but it's still a little confusing for me.

& I'm Chinese; I live with my parents & I eat Chinese food. I don't know how to calculate the calories for my food intake, although I have this app on my iTouch that helps me keep track of my caloric intake.

I workout to Turbo Jam about an hour everyday & I will also start jogging soon.

Me at my happy weight; 180~190lbs

Welcome to the community. I'm not so sure what you're asking... if you're asking anything at all. :)

I'd suggest reading the stickies. They'll help you immensely.

If simply making better food choices isn't "working," tracking calories is a good bet. To do so, you'll need a food scale, some measuring cups and a calorie database (something like or whatever).
