Hello, my name is Carlos, i am 19 years old, i weight 205 pounds , 5.8 feet, I decided that its time to start getting the excess weight off, i don't feel unhealthy but i am not at my prime so of speak lol. This workout/diet regimen is pretty new, this is my second day, so far so good.
Basically this is what i am doing,
This is the diet part:
Monday-Saturday
Breakfast: bowl of cereal, with plenty of milk and an English wheat muffin. (cereal varies but its very healthy, no fruit-loops junk)
Lunch: 2 scrambled eggs (fried with milk, not grease, milk and it tastes pretty good, one serving of vegetables, one serving of beans and a serving of fish. ( i mix it all together when i make the eggs, the beans, veggies and fish varies, but its all on the same nutrition level.
Dinner: 2 servings of milk(fat free, 2%, whole) one fiber bar and the same muffin from breakfast.
If on certain days i am hungrier than usual i will drink an extra 2 servings of milk before bed.
I did the math and the calorie range is around 1200 to a max of 1500,
Also i am getting about 40-50 grams of protein, lots of fiber, all the vitamins and minerals.
Now for the workout part, It will change as i lose the weight and my body gets used to it etc.
For now i am gonna do one hour a day at the treadmill but i do it a bit differently than others, i don't run, i just walk
I put the incline at the maximum level i start at 2 miles per hour, put my earphones on, now every time a song on my ipod is finish i up the speed by 0.1, and i keep going up the speed, until i am walking uphill at 3.5 miles per hour, once i get there and the song is done, i start going down by the same 0.1 ratio, i listen to a play list that i made and the songs are always random but usually i reach the 3.5 speed by minute 30-40, i am telling you this is great from minute 35-60 my heart rate stays at 190-192, i sweat like a monster and i feel the burn without being super sore the next day, best thing i can do it every day and i burn an average of 500-600 calories in that hour doing that, also before the incline walk i do sit ups and push ups for like 10-15 minutes and i stretch.
I will do that Monday to Saturday, and like i said before i will increase the time and difficulty as i lose more weight.
Now Sundays, Sundays i wont do any exercises besides work, the Sundays that i have to work at my job, but the diet on every Sunday will be completely different from what i eat Monday-Saturday, on Sundays i will drink 3 glasses of pure vegetable juice, sort of like a once a week juice fasting, i want to do it to clean my body and aid the weigth lost. i am doing the juice fasting because i heard water fasting once a week does nothing but to eat your muscles for energy, not the fat, my guess that my calorie intake on Sundays wont be more than 250 calories, probably 150, but that's the point of a juice fast besides the detox benefit.
Also i am gonna start adding 1xbanana to my breakfast every day starting tomorrow, its not really necessary but the extra calories wont hurt me at all , and the fruit serving and potassium comes in handy.
Thanks for bearing with me trough my lengthy guide, all comments are more than welcomed, but please do not try to talk me out of the 2 eggs a day because of the cholesterol, that's a myth, eggs doest raise bad cholesterol, only the good cholesterol, the only way eggs can raise bad cholesterol is if you drown them in oil to cook them, (like many people do, hence the reason why i am using milk, not grease or oil). Thanks.
