I've been browsing this forum for a couple days and have found the before and after section incredibly inspirational. I'm a 28 year old guy and I weighed 305lbs at the beginning of February.
My fiancee joined Curves not too long ago and started a diet plan with them. To show my support for her, I decided to follow along with the plan she was on (about 1600 cals per day). That started February 8th and as of Monday morning, I weighed 272 lbs.
I'm incredibly happy just to be able to have the courage to change my way of life. I was brought up in a family where bad eating habits were the norm and I had been overweight my entire life. My first goal during this was to get down to 265lbs, but now that I'm almost there (and started reading these forums), I'm excited to begin my journey to 185.
Just a tip that I've learned over the last couple of months, that many of you probably already know. Never skip breakfast and don't eat after dinner. My biggest problem was grazing on food at night leading up to bed. I never thought I'd be able to overcome this as easily as I have. What makes it easy for me is having dinner, then looking forward to breakfast the next day when I get hungry at night. I've also been going to bed a lot earlier than I used to, which makes it seem like less time between the meals.
Anyway, if you got this far, thanks for reading and more importantly thanks for providing some incredible inspiration for me.
