What’s up guys!
I am glad I found this forum. I currently had a baby about a month ago and I am trying to shed some pounds! I was am 5'5 and was 162 in the hospital I gained 42 pounds my pregnancy. Now a month later I am at 137 still wanting to lose about 17 lbs which was my weight before I had my baby. I stay home with my two daughters all day so it is very hard to avoid temptation. So far my diet and workout plan have consist of eating 2-3 meals a day a slim fast healthy dinner and maybe a snack if I give in. I have been running abou t1.5-3.8 (that’s the most I have ran) about 5 days a week. I am finding it hard to stick with it. I am lacking motivation at the first week I lost 6lbs! but yesterday I stepped on the scale and gained a pound. My husband eat whatever the heck he wants and is the size a toothpick! It drives me crazy I just want to get back to my normal weight. I have been taking Hydroxycut for about 2 weeks and it dose help with the hunger and it gives me energy. But I would still like to try and loose some more weight! I have been feeling very depressed I just want to look 23 again! I know 137 is not a bad weight to be at but I would just like to be able to button my pre pregnancy jeans!

Hi allie and welcome. No one stays young and skinny as a teenager for ever.

Especially hard after children.

HOwever, with patience and persistence and self control you can go a long way towards a body you are happy with.

Don't get depressed about as you are really fat at all. Its just worthy of being depressed about at this weight.

Are you running miles of kilometres?

Don't go out exercising quite so often. I only go ever second day and i find that works for me. I started off by walking 8km (1.6km=1 mile) and gradually i started running. The other day i ran 6km and walked 3km and did some windows shopping in the middle. lol.

It also sounds like you are fairly bored at home so maybe you need ot find ways to spark up your days a bit. Get out more. Find some other mums to be active with. Join a fitness group. Some mums go running with their kids in a pram once a week. And then have breakfast together afterwards. I think that sounds like a great thing to do.

Or take up some fitness activity with your hubby on the weekends like bushwalking or something.

Start a diary. It will keep you motivated . HOpe you can find the right place.
