Just got over a fever...

I started feeling weak and dizzy Saturday night. My husband took my temp, and I had a low-grade fever. I woke up on Sunday, and felt even worse: aches, pains, alternating between burning and freezing. I slept most of the day, and ate (mostly fluids) and drank whenever I was awake and had the energy to do so. I was much better yesterday, and was able to go to work and eat my normal caloric requirements, but still felt too weak to resume my exercise routine.
I've missed key days in my training, and don't want to over-exert myself when getting back into the grove of things, but I don't want to fall off the track, either. I've gained a pound since I started feeling sick, and although I try telling myself it's just water weight, it's hard not to feel discouraged.

Advice?

Are you still feeling ill? If so, concentrate on fighting what it is that's ailing you first. If you MUST do some kind of exercise, try something light like walking - it still burns calories/keeps you active, but doesn't put undue stress on the system. What are you feeling up to doing? Also, if the sickness persists, see a doctor and get treated. Hope you're doing better.
