Just found out I'm expecting - do I need to make changes?

AI've just found out last week that I am expecting - its still very early (only 3 weeks).

Lately I have been on the treadmill 6 days a week (3 days doing the couch 2 5k program and the other 3 days just having a brisk walk for an hour) - and visiting the gym 2 days a week to do weight circuits or sometimes a pump class.

Do I need to change my routine at all during pregnancy?

Everyone's situation is slightly different so it is good to consult with your doctor or midwife. If you were active before you were pregnant then it is generally acceptable to continue with your activity. You will eventually need some more calories, but it actually isn't very much. Make sure that you are eating properly, and getting enough of each food group and folic acid. It is actually very important that you are active during your pregnancy - it will benifit both you and the baby!
