Just beginning fasting

Hello,

I read a book 6 months ago on natural arthritis treatments. I am 26 and have had problems with my joints for years. One of the things written in the book discussed water and juice fasts as a good way to detox the body and relieve arthritis. I've since then read another book about juice fasting and was planning to try it, however in a house with 4 other people it was difficult to use a juicer regularly and keep fresh produce. Recently I was having a very busy day and didn't realize that I hadn't ate anything all day. I was surprise to notice that none of my joints popped or aked as they normally do daily. Since then I've also notice that my general level of joint pain has decreased. I decided to do a water fast last week just for 1 or 2 days to get a feel for it. I made the mistake of going on a pretty strenuous hike on the first day and decided to break the fast. I decided I would try again this week and do just a 1 day water fast. So today is my fast day. It's going pretty good so far. I have about 7 hours to go until I plan to break the fast. It is definitely difficult not to eat. I am considering going on a 2 or 3 day water fast in a few weeks and was looking for some advice. I should say that I am not opposed to adding juices during some of those days so there is no need for anyone to worry. I've read that the first 3 days of a fast are the hardest. Can anyone tell me if they have experienced this first hand? Also please let me know if you have any advice or tips for the rest of my fast today and the fasts I have planned for the future.

Thanks
