Just a question

I was talking to this guy (who is fat) and he was like "Wow you lost a lot of weight, how did you do it?"
I told him, the only way you can, eat less calories than your body burns and work out.
He said that he wish he could do the same, but can't because he's genetically fat.

Is that even possilbe? To be genetically fat? Is their a race of fat people out there?

hahahah bloc. Well i'm not like 100% but I do hear there are people out there who can't help being fat so mabey thats theim. Its like there own little community, lol. Kinda crazy but I'm "fairly" sure its true.
 
It's true there are people with a genetic predisposition to be fat, there called endomorphs, but even 80-90% endos will naturaly have a 12-13% BF any higher it's just due to lazyness, although endos only need to be a little bit of lazy if that makes sence. there are alot of pro bodybuilders who are mostly endos and skinny endos, in the end it's usally not that much of a problem. the other 2 types of people are ectos and mesos, everyone is a mix of thies 3 body types.
 
Thing about those "genetically fat" people is that they can still be pretty strong, so I guess it's not that bad.

ectomorphs: are the naturaly skinny people, they don't gain fat or muscle very fast
endomorphs: are naturaly fat people, they gain weight easly, mostly fat.
mesomorphs: are naturaly strong people, they gain muscle easly

I have an endomorph physique. What I find is it's very easy to put on weight, it's relatively easy to lose weight, it's relatively easy to build muscle and get stronger (to a certain point) and it is extremely difficult to maintain the same weight.

Thats just me anyways, maybe different for other folks.
 
actualy iffy, what you described to me sounds more like a mesomorphic structer, kinda border line lol. basicly, IMHO, I think that if people who have a lot of extra weight only ate when they were actualy hungry and only ate untill they were not hungry anymore, and not try to make themselfs full, they would be able to loose weight easier. That and, this whole sitting on the couch and doing nothing thing, doesn't help them. most people here I assume arn't doing that though =p

The genetics thing is a factor, and it happens to be a very large one, BUT you can loose weight still, but it will require a good bit more effort on your part than it would for me. But make no mistake it can be done, and I don't mean like an athletes training more effort, I mean, you going to have to have days set that you will do some cardio-vascular exersizes. Thats all, 1 hour every other day... not to much to ask is it? an hours walking, a good swim, or an hour on a stationary exersize bike. thats all it takes, and you will start to loose weight, but with the acception of the first 2-3 weeks, if your loosing more than 5 lbs a week, your overdoing it, unless your like morbidly obese, and weigh 440. then loosing 5-7 lbs would not be uncommon.

Broad shoulders

I am prone to fait in the wasite and thighs GRRR


That would be mesomorph I believe. Or a mix.
