Hey guys!

First post in my shiny new diary :)

you can read my into post here

http://weight-loss.fitness.com/t/52460/and-there-she-goes

The plan was to start my day one yesterday but there was a bit if a family meltdown so to speak...

Soooo today is the Glorious Fantastical " DAY 1 " of 90 . "whoop whoop *fist pump* "

I'm going to try and not over plan it .... if I get too ahead of myself I get overwhelmed and end up giving myself extra time to make up silly ridonkulous excuses.

I think pre planning 2 days at a time food / exercise should be sufficient !

More later on what I've plotted for today/tomorrow. Work Is Whispering my name .

Welcome :)

I am pretty new here as well. We have similar-ish goals, so it's nice to see someone I can relate to! Going up and down with weight is so so frustrating! I've been there too...now after it all I am the highest weight I have ever been, so I am starting to see the mistakes I made in previous weight loss attempts.

Anyways, I am really happy to see you here. I think it is going to be very motivating for me to keep track of your progress which I just know will be amazing.

Anyways, welcome again and best wishes!

Thank you so much Ava!

I read your Journal and I hear you about being tired during the week. I have a bajillion different things I do besides working full time and I think the only hope for me when it comes to having time to fit in workouts is to get up around 5:45 am.... which in the summer when the sun wakes me up early it's no problem but when it's dark until 8 am .... aghhhh tortouous! I set my alarm every day this week for 5:45 am and I slept through Every One Of Them!! And If I actually do wake up I'm so Zombified it takes me a good half hour to be coherent enough to think about working out. LOL.... I just read what I wrote and it's a perfect example of the silly excuses I make for myself to get out of going for a run... oh and did I mention It's damn windy and flipping freezing by the lake? lol... there I go again!

I looks like I need to suck it up and get to it!

Anyway... If anyone has tips to wake up and "get to it" in the morning.... send em' this way!

Oh and thank you mountain bird for the words of encouragement! I will for sure send you an email if I have any queries :)

So today... I did decent with my Eats... didn't write out a plan but here it is.

B-Fast

1/3 C Oatmeal with 1/3 c cocnut milk, 1 T natural Peanut butter

Smoothie ... Yum

1/2 C Coconut milk

1/2 C !00 % mango Juice

1/2 banana

1/2 c frozen strawberries and raspberries

2 c raw spinach ( gives it a nice goobery mud color yum )

1 scoop Sunwarrior Raw Rice protien powder (70 cal 16g protein... awesomeeeee )

Lunch

Spinach and Arugula salad with...

Roasted sweet potato

roasted eggplant

tomatos

slice of avacado

goat cheese

walnuts

honey mustard dressing ( honey, dijon, lemon juice S& P )

Dinner was a bit of a Fail !

A bunch of triscuits and a spoon of peanut butter and an mini orange.... Oh and some C Boost Fresh Juice. Yummers. lol... brutall! kinda tired after work and had nooooo intentions of making dinner.

I also had 2 cups of coffee ( 1 decaf ) with a lil agave and milk. Trying soooo hard to cut down on coffee... and drink more tea.. I'm not good at doing things in moderations... so usually it's 10 cups of coffee or no cups of coffee. I remember I came home one night freaking out ...all jittery, my hear was beating out of my chest and I felt like I was having a meltdown and the first thing my boyfriend said to me was "how much coffee did you have today ?? " ( insert weirded out look on his face ;) funny that I hadn't even considered that it was all the caffeine coursing through my veins that was making me freak out.

Friends are over for movie night.. I'll be trying to abstain from snackage ( mhhh peanut M'M's are calling my nameeeee) that is the result of movie night.

I'm going to make an attempt at taking a run when they leave.. but there is a 91% chance that will not happen... but a 9% chance is better than noooo chanceee!!

Tomorrow I have to get up early and pick up some rental equip... shooting a wedding all day and needed some extra flashys.... I'll have to pack some snacks and stay away from wedding cake!! ahhh Run!! I'm sure I will be too busy working to even think about eating.... which is also bad... oh that Godamn balance I'm always striving for but it's always just out of my reach... I'm so going to figure it out one day!

Oh Friends Birthdays tomorrow so noooooo drinking either.... :p ukk.. I actually don't drink really at all anymore so I don't find it hard .. ( for reals) I had my partying time and I'm done with that now but when people are pushing drinks on you and things are festive it's hard to resist one or two.... ]]

Holy Mother Of a Rambling Post !

I'm outa here!

Wow! yesterday was interesting! after sorting out My photo equipment rentals I had enough time to grab some coffee and a sandwich ( egg/ cheese/ English muffin... not that great but not thatttt bad for me ) and be on my way... 10 hours of shooting and I hadn't pre-planned enough to bring myself snacks or water.... ahhhh! I had nothing to drink for about 8 of those hours needless to say once dinner was served I downed 3 glasses of water right away but that still wasn't enough... woke up this morning with a wicked headache and have been drink tons of water and tea all day! for dinner at the wedding I had some roasted veg, salad, butternut squash ravioli and sesame noodles. ( last 2 not so good I know, but I took a small portion and I didn't get to eat all day! and would have eaten someones face... cranky :( ) Def will be packing a lunch for the wedding this weekend! I felt sick this morning from not eating my usual fresh fruits and veg's and my morning smoothie! It's crazy how much a days change in diet throws me off... I can only imagine if I could cut out all sugar ( self proclaimed chocolate fiend here! ) I'm sure I would be cranky pants for at least a weeekkk but would probably feel great after that... I'm feeling a challenge coming on!

anyway so I got home pretty late from the wedding and had plans to go to my 2 friends Bday party... They had bought a Justin Bieber Pinata I had full intentions of helping them beat the crap out of ( Sorry J.B fans.... but whoever made him into a pinata was a Genius! Really can't get behind that ridic craze... shudders) But got home and laid on my bed and thought " I'll just stay here for 10 minutes, change, and head out ) well guess who woke up at 7:30 am and sent several apology texts? Your truly.Out cold! I somehow had my PJ's on though... Must have put them on in my sleep.

This morning I was awoke by my B/F telling me he was going to get some breakfast and I dragged myself out of my wonderful warm cocoon to join him.... O.J scrambled eggs, rye toast and some homefries I could have done without. but so tasty! Walked my dog and did some cleaning and then went to a hour and a half yoga class at 5. Now I'm back home cooking a few things for the week. Curried split pea soup, ( omg Foodgasms... so healthy, easy to make and tasty! I'll post a recipe if anyone wants it) Quinoa and Buckwheat soba noodles. Going to the grocery store in a bit to pick up some cauliflower, chick peas and fruit and sweet potatoes.... om nom nom. Since B-Fast all I have had to eat is a peanut Lara bar ( I lovveeee lara bars but a lot of them have almonds in them which I am super allergic to. Hospital trip allergic ) and a protein smoothie ( 1 scoop Sunwarrior Pro Powder, few strawberries, frozen cranberries, 1 c coconut milk, 1/2 T chia seeds splash of OJ ). Delish I'm loving the tartness the cranberries add. I'm also saving my self for a bowl of Splitpea awesome once it's done!

Tomorrow the plan is...

1/2 hour run in the AM. ( lots of stairs) plus some Asanas ( I have to practice for a teaching test at school on the weekend... ak nervous I'm a bit behind )

Yoga class in the P.M

Good Night to Ya'll!

I'll post my food plan for the day in the A.M

AJumpy...you sound like a very good cook! I am so jealous actually. I like to cook...but I'm not very good yet haha. From your post I assume you are a photographer? What a fun job! As for waking up early, the best advice that I have (and from my own experience is just to push through until it becomes a habit. I wake up between 4:45 and 5:45 during the week. I've done this for years now and it's just a habit. Im in the process of weaning myself off of my daily pot black coffee :-/ oops. It actually makes me more tired with cycle it gets me in. But tea I could never give up.

I don't know of you mentioned already, but what kind of yoga do you do/going to teach? I took one Iyengar class and loved it. I used to be a gymnast and it really helped my many problems from that! Anyways, I've been looking to get back into it so I'm excited to see an expert here :)

PS-your diet sounds super delicious. I have a feeling that I am going to be stealing a lot of recipes from you... :)

Hope you have a great start to the week!

AWow!! Has it really been 2 1/2 week since my last post? I wish I had good things to say but all I can say is not only did I fall off the wagon but I then watched it crash, burn, fall off a cliff and then explode before it was swept off by a tornado never to be seen again!!!!! Well, that may be slightly dramatic but you get the idea! I can't believe how time flys. Between Xmas parties, working, photo shoots, school, going away party's, last girls nights ( my best friend moved to south America on Monday :( ) and training at my stable I ate and drank whatever I could get my hands on and did not exercise save all the running around at work and riding. Doesn't count though!! Anyway, I am back to reform my ways!! I went grocery shopping as my fridge was bare and have made some tasty creations ( quinoa and bean tabouleh is one of them hmmmmm so good! ) anddd in the AM I have a new workout sched to go by. The past month has been a bit cray cray but now that my Bff is off my couch and on her adventure and my bf is away to do some cave diving I have a bit of down time to get myself organized and start getting into some sort of a semblance if a routine. All I want for Xmas is 12 extra hours in my day!! Anyway, I willllllllll find a way to make this work after all it's sooooooooo going to help with my feeling fatigued all the time!

Oh and Ava to answer some of your questions!
I do work as a Photographer, not full time at the moment but next spring summer with all the bookings I will be! It's loads of fun and very addicting! As for yoga I. Am learning to teach Ashtanga, Hatha and Vinyasa. It's so amazing for you in so many ways. It especially helps me and my busy anxious mind !!!
And you are right about the mornings! I just have to tough it out. So far I have been up late most nights so I Kinda bailed on the early mornings but in the next 13 days I have some time to myself so I'm going to give it another shot!
Here is the muffin recipe! Beware... So addicting!

Pumpkin Muffins
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups (200g) spelt flour  ( or flour of choice)
