I dunno but I can't do it for long well when I did do it I heard it 's good for yr abs and calves I think if you do it for a long time I can see how it 's jes as good
it's a great exercise but isn't it hard on the knees & lower body? plus, you can't really keep it up long enough to be a good fat burner, right? it's very intense. i'd say to exercise on the bike or do walking instead!
Jumping rope can be an intense HIIT workout. A really good way to utilize it is to do 2 minutes in between lifting sets. You keep your heart rate up while getting a good cardio exercise.
Its great and can be very intense but is hard on the knees. You jump on your toes so the knee is constantly being strained. May not effect you though- just a heads up.
Jump roping can be *higher* intesity than
running - get the same benefits as running in
LESS time!
It's also great in the winter - a simple running
replacement that you can do at home when
you don't feel like fighting the weather just
to get your run in.
Also great for travel! Just throw a jump rope in
your suitcase and you're ready for a great morning
workout in your hotel!
