jump rope & diet

hi everyone, i am new to this forum this is my first post, im sorry if anything i do is repeated from this site, i tried to look through as many threads as i could.

Okay i am 150 pounds and 5'1 i clearly need to lose weight, okay this is what i was going to do everyday:

-75 mins of jump rope ( with 1-3 min breaks)
-10-13 miles of biking (stationary)
-billy blanks 10 min video
-30-45 mins of volleyball ( 2 person)
-weight training
- and then other little stuff, going for walks, shooting hoops, etc...)
-ballet every thursday for an hour

i also had a question about jump rope, i did some research on the internet and it said it was an awesome thing to do , it was like an all body work out if you do it enough everyday, i was wondering if anyone has tried this? And if you have, could you please explain to me how it would help your stomach flab? ( i know there is so such thing as spot reduce, i just dont get it because your are using your legs and your arms)

and also when is the best time to exercise, i know everytime is the best, but like to burn more calories like in the morning when i get up? or before i got to bed?

thank you so much! also if you have any tips for me i would really appreciate it!

Holy mother of God, you are going to kill yourself doing that everyday! Have you actually done this yet? Hopefully I am misunderstanding your post.

Jump rope is taxing and will burn calories. If done intense enough (fast with small rest between intervals), it will raise EOPC, thereby burning calories after the workout is complete. The way it will remove stomach flab is the same way it will remove flab from anywhere on your body, it will increase metabolism and burn calories directly.

Anytime is good. If you keep the exercise intense, anytime of day is good. Low-moderate intensity, steady state cardio can benefit from being done fasted, but this is debatable. The theory is that you are more likely to burn fat for fuel in a fasted state. Many worry about the muscle retaining problems with this though. In any case, I say go all out and stick to high intensity cardio anyway when your goal is losing fat.

well i have nothing to do all day, its summer for me, and i dont have a job or anything ( dont need one ) so i have all summer to do this and i have nothing to do all day so i might as well work out?

I've noticed the #1 thing in my weight loss has been my diet. Focus on that first and the rest will just fall into place. Your workout is a little hardcore, in my opinion. I jump rope on cardio days but never for longer than 10-20min. I see it as more of a warm-up. Save up my energy for the run. I've read that the best time to burn calories is in the morning before breakfast. I tried this but just found myself to tired at work.
