Juice?

Usually it's not bad for you but unless you've just juiced it yourself, then chances are you're getting none of the enzymes needed.

if it's freshly squeezed then it's great for you, but most stuff you buy in stores is made from concentrate and has added sugar so not so good. you can buy freshly sqeezed juice but it's more expensive.

it sounds delicious to me, but when i strted losing weight, i cut out juice completely. i am just maintaining now, and have introduced many things back, but not juice. i eat a lot of fruit instead.....

Most of the canned stuff is bad becuase it's not 100% juice, mostly added sugars. However, there are a few manufacturers that make 100% juice and it is good for you. Be sure to check the label thoroughly (and don't be thrown off by 100% vitamin C - not the same). Dole makes a variety of 100% juices as does Welches.

I drink 100% orange juice, some times twice and three times a day. Even during my weight loss period! I don't eat most 'tree fruits' such as apples, pears, peaches, and plums, because they irritate my mouth (minor food allergy) - so orange juice is the only thing (next to oranges) that I drink for the daily fruit allowance. But I still loose weight; hell I've lost 7lbs in the last 4 weeks (just found out today!). So I'm going to say orange juice (100% none concentrate, no added sugar) is good for you. Just don't over do it.

i think your cran/orange juice sounds fine. we usually drink a glass of OJ with breakfast, too. while it's true that fresh fruit contains more nutrients then juice, juice can still be a beneficial part of your overall diet.

Is pasteurized the same as from concentrate or sumthing? Or are pasteurized juices the good types... the not over processed?
