well i am 40 and weigh 245. i was up higher around 260. i want to focus on losing this weight now.

today i want to

1. eat protein shake for breakfast
2. follow meal plan rest of day
3. work out - bike 300 calories, do abs, walk.

i hope to introduce myself later and participate in other threads, just joined and wanted to get this started. see ya later good luck everyone.
 
im actually 246 just weighed myself. okay going to eat my shake like i said and try to get the excerise and stick to meal plan.

11am man i had the shake for b-fast but im so hungry. i finished some work but now all i want to do is wait until lunch.

3:26pm riding my bike for 312 cals so far!

day 2

well i did ride my bike and stuck to my diet for day 1. i credit this site, i really was motivated to do it and post. plus i joined the november contest. oh well..

same thing - ride bike and meal plan today.

maybe add a walk if get that done.

3:30 still riding got 311 cals. gonna try to walk tonight. ate popcorn for a snack. really angry this afternoon before lunch, totally low blood sugar from just the shake. i dunno if i should change that up.

day 3

actually did 530 calories on my bike yesterday, just watching videos . instead of just sitting there, i rode the bike. i have an easy day today and want to stick to my diet since i have no excuses like work and such. i have been near perfect with it the last 2 days i must say.

1:32 I got like 334 cals burnt on bike. had very healthy lunch.

12:17am I cant sleep. I am pretty damn hungry. walked quit a bit today. ate shake (protein powder with fruit and skim milk) and 2 pretty small meals.

Day 4

pretty much same as yesterday planned. this time i have more work to do. but i still want to diet, bike and walk. i feel thinner but havent weighed myself i am waiting for the november challenge date on the 9th to see.

11:20 pm another good diet day.

rode bike for over 400 calories. walked in park. just 3 meals, no snacks no dessert.

i think i am losing weight, but i have to wait until i think monday to see.

day 5

i am surprising myself with how i am sticking to this so far. it actually is becoming easier. but its a day at a time and set backs are to be planned for and expected. no setbacks today are planned though!

same old same old. i will check back in after i did some exercise. my plan is to

shake before noon, small lunch, coffee at starbuck around 4. dinner at 6. that's it for food.

i could rent the wire and bike, especially if my girlfriend manages to leave me alone for some time today. christ she is become a bit of a drag. i need to either work on relationship or grow a pair and u know. but now i am scared she will read this and cry...f -it it stays.

11:53 pm

rode bike hard for 30 mins. burnt 360 cal total on bike today. walked.

ate protein shake, 2 turkey dogs no bun, some green beans, some walnuts, a bowl of oatmeal, small piece of fish. thats it. shake breakfast, the rest was lunch and dinner. i am getting used to being hungry.

-10 lbs!! Day 7

so i was happy that my first week showed great results. pretty much my first week dieting in my life and i am 40. i will now share how i become such a great one week wonder and lost 10 lbs.

i really endured a lot of hunger pain. i know diet is long term and lifestyle and something you can keep etc etc. but i wanted to lose weight. so i overdid it, but just a little. i have a shake every morning for breakfast which i think i will continue to do. its a lean protein shake from gnc and i think my girl puts frozen fruit in it. that is all for b-fast, but its not like i am fasting.

then nothing until lunch. its hard around 11:00 or so, but i have been having espresso shot or a coffee when really hungry to make it to next meal. lunch and dinner are the same, just one moderate plate of something healthy.

workouts its the reclining bike while watching tv or on computer. i can get 300 cals in a half hour, but usually go slow and watch a show or hit the bike a few times and get 300-500 cals burned per day. i also walk in park with dog, pretty slow but decent walk.


that is all. i am glad this forum is here. still weigh 236 and want to get down to 200 so a ways to go yet.

Sounds like you have a good thing going! Exercising in front of the television can be great, because it already breaks up your workout into a nice 30-minute slice a lot of the time.

Good job!!!!
 
ty maverick its nice to get some support. good job with the welcoming of newcomers here i noticed that u are active in that forum as well and i think that is important.
 
Day 8
well i slowed down a bit on the excercise bike, got maybe 100 calories yesterday, but teh walk was a bit longer than usual. stuck with the diet i would say close to 100 percent.

today i had my shake, its 10am now or so. i am going to walk to starbucks and do some stuff.
lunch at 12 - i dunno yet

we'll see whats up with me good luck to u!

8:00 walked a little but not much exercise today just played poker for like 7 hours. good news is i had shake for breakfast and made my fried chiken fingers and carrots with dip my lunch and saved some and ate the rest for dinner. hope to not eat rest of night so i can keep losing weight.

looking to get some cardio in today. i want to ride bike during nba game at 5 pm magic v cavs. we'll see

5:12 did my bike already. hungry. waiting for 6 to eat sushi. 400+ calories on bike and a walk.

yesterday i dieted well didnt bike didnt post didnt feel like it.

today i dunno same eat shake b-fast

want to bike some. feel thinner. we'll see check in later
 
day 13

yesterday i biked 250 calories, walk a little

ate a piece of cake and some frozen yogurt with toppings for desert. but stuck pretty good to meal plan besides that. wanted to party a little i guess.
 
day 14

i weigh in tomorrow. not as excited as i was to being this journey. lost some weight this week as well i think . i hope.

yesterday had a nice walk. stuck to diet pretty good. didnt bike or anything.

i dont have any plans today prolly watch sports and do nothing tbh.

Hope you have a great day today! I am on a low GI high protein diet, am 44, and am used to thinking kgs, so am going to have to convert - in order to chat to everyone I think! This is my Day 13 of actually CARING about what I'm eating! So am due to weigh in tomorrow... yeah - I'm already feeling not quite as enthusiastic.

The hard work is just that hard work! Was standing at the sink last night telling myself - now reward yourself with a lovely glass of water!!! oh boy - yep gotta change my attitudes about rewards.

Day 16

doing well on the diet and exercise. i have gotten used to eating the protein shake w/fruit for b-fast and then 2 small meals after. i have been eating bigger lunches. nothing like before, but i have seen the tendency to want to keep eating and eating and just overdoing it. instead i managed to stop and get on my bike and bike the hell out of it for like 500 calories a day for last few.

after that dinner is very light and i just sort of trip out hungry and fall asleep.

so its 10:27 now i wait until at least 11:45 or so for lunch since lunch HAS to last until 6:00 pm. coffee trips to starbucks helps really get one black coffee nothing added just drink that, takes about a hour and gives energy and takes away hunger. do that around 4pm usually.

Yesterday - pushups 25. will try to improve tomorrow.

i have 25lb dumbells which i want to do exercises with and see if i can increase strength.
