Hey All! I am new to this .. I am 23 years old , married and have a 3 year old as well as 3 step kids who make life stressful sometimes haha. I weigh more now than I ever did when I was pregnant. I weigh 186.4, and I am 5 feet 6 inches, I know I am over weight, I have to buy XL shirts and 10's and 11's in pants, it makes me sick. I am used to wearing 6's, so I have set a goal to get to at least 130 by summer of '09 well by MAY '09! So I have 5 monthes or so..
I am watching my calories and excercising when I can, I start until Jan '098 working 12 hour days with a 1 hr drive to and from work and Ill be working 7 days week, so its going to be tuff! But I am sick of being what I call fat and miserable.... I never have any energy anymore.. and I want my life back! Thanks for reading! :) Oh and not to mention I STOPPED smoking about a month ago! YAY me! Ive smoked since I was 18 , other for than the time I was prego and I stopped!!

Welcome Jess! It was nice meeting you in the chat room tonight! Kids can wear you out, no doubt! It's so hard for me to convince myself to workout but when I do, I feel so much better about myself and all the things I need to accomplish that day! One of the best things I can suggest to you is to just take it one day at a time! Looking at the overall goal can be depressing at times! When you wake up in the morning tell yourself, "Just for today I'm going to (you fill in the blank)" and then do it! Don't worry about tomorrow, just today! I'm rooting for ya girl! Welcome! :seeya:

Jess hon, You made the best decision by quitting the smokes. You deserve a big hug just for that :hug2:

Done the 12 hour thing, did it for 10 years! It ain't gonna be easy doing what you're doing. that's a long shift, make sure you have enough healthy food every day to snack on, otherwise vending machines and such start to look pretty good when you have the munchies 2hrs before it's time to go home. I have my own office so it's easy for me (don't know your situation), to leave a bag of apples on my desk. Hungry? There ya go, they're sitting right there.

I'll keep up with your progress, stop in and say hi.
