Apologys for the cringe-worthy title
(Did write a massive diary and my pc decided to die so that was nice)

Any I'm new here and haven't introduced myself yet , so for anyone reading this , hey i'm j :)
Down to business...I'm 21 and 6"4 , my starting weight was 309 lbs on november 19th 2010 I'm now down to 229 lbs today (17/2/11)
I'm looking to lose another 25 lbs in the next 2 months , which i know sounds near impossible but with the way i've been going and my current progress i firmly believe i can do it and to me mindset is EVERYTHING

For the last few months i've been VERY strict and dedicated - haven't eaten "bad" once and only got very very drunk once (ofcourse i have been coerced into having the odd drink but i try to stay away from it)
but since mid january of this year.. I've been unable to workout and exercise due to (wait for it) 2 x concussion , 1 x fractured wrist , 1 x dislocated thumb , 1 x broken index finger and a dodgy ankle that just doesn't want to see me happy! but i'm all healed up now finally and i'm back to my workout routine.

Now alot of people tell me how i eat is pretty bad for me , or how little i eat should i say but i want to make it clear that i don't starve myself and i never go hungry and manage to eat 3 meals a day.I haven't eaten over 1000 kcal in a single day since i started - doesn't sound like much but i struggle to eat that much sometimes.
Now with regards to workout i've been adding more and more as my fitness improves but my daily routine goes like this

wake up - 10k / 30 mins cycling (don't even know what it's called but i have a bike that doesn't go anywhere when you peddle in my room :p)

eat breakfast - large-ish bowl of cereal (50g) - 200kcal

fast walk - 2 miles to the local shop where i usualy buy a pepsi max or something (i'm a sucker for fizzy drinks ) - get back in 20 mins or so

work - don't do much

eat lunch - usualy somesort of white meat i.e chicken / turkey / fish (250-300 kcal)

get home - relax for an hour

HIIT training on punchbag (50kg bag) - 15 mins

30 more mins of cycling - again 10km usualy

15 mins of punchbag (less intensity but i don't stop)

and usualy finish by doing squats/curls for around 20 mins

eat dinner - again some sort of protein i.e steak/chicken/fish/prawns (500-600kcal)

relax/go out

bed

I also play american football on sundays for 3 hours , which is the most intense workout i've ever done , I only took it up 5 weeks ago but i love it , wish it was more popular in the UK.

Looking foward to making this diary happen and getting back into it

Like i said i'm not very "technical" with my weightloss i don't know the science of it at all , so if there's any words of advice or support they would be greatly appreciated!

Hey there!

First, congrats on your wonderful weightloss!! You've achieved so much already! And only proves that you can reach your new goals!!

Just a few things - I see you're eating a lot of protein, good protein too! Are you also including fruits and veggies in your diet? I know veggies have sugar and some veggies have fat, but they're really important to include! Some of the vit that you get from fruits/vegs can help you lose weight! So you should think about including some snacks between your meals, consisting of fruits/veg :)

Also, you might find that incorporating lots of water intake helps you too :)

Sorry to hear about your injuries- it's a shame when you're wanting to work out, but your body puts it on hold! it's great that you're still getting cardio during the day!

You're doing great!! And good luck on your current goal :)

I second the vote on eating more veggies. It will add more fibre to y our diet witch helps aid in weight loss and nutrition.
