I've lost it, now on to phase 2.

OK, I'm 63 and 5'7.5" tall. I finally got fed up being fat and out of shape even though I'm pretty active. So I went on Nutrisystem and now my own plan. I've lost 40 pounds - went from 205 to 165 pounds farely easily :p . Now I am moving into my own personal phase 2, additional weight loss to my goal weight 155 and beginning to work out. Two questions:

1. Over time can I tone up the loose skin at my age or am I stuck with it.

2. Can I build strength(muscle) at my age or just save what I got.

You can build strength and muscle at any age. Weights are a great idea for you since it helps fight off osteoporosis.

The excess skin may tighten up a bit, but it's different for each individual. Factors that determine how much it will tighten are: age, hydration, how much skin is there, how much muscle is there, etc.
