As I start this diary, I need to keep reminding myself that I am sad about my body, my weight not my life! I am very lucky to have a the life I have and hope that as my body changes, I will look on the outside how I feel on the inside. I am 40 1/2 years old. I am the mother of 2 awesome kids, the wife of a great guy (who is struggling with his weight also). I am beginning my quest into a new career starting in Sept. I am a nurse currently and plan to be a Massage Therapist hopefully owning my own business within the next 2 years.
I weigh approx. 80 pounds more than I should. I am tired of being tired. I can't keep up with my kids. I am not going to blame my 2 pregnancies, my relaxed lifestyle, family or friends for my weight, I have no other person to point a finger at other than myself. I love food, all kinds of food. I also love a great martini, good icy beer, and oh yeah my biggest weaknesses are ice cream (Brighams chocolate) and frosting on cakes. That is how I got here! All by myself.
I have always been "active" but not since high school have I really been "in shape". As I begin this journey to good health for myself and my family I hope that these forums will be a good place for me to get support and watch myself evolve.
Well thats me, this is where it begins my quest to get good health. I am planning to watch my calories - doing a combination of weight watchers and south beach. I need to buy a scale so i can track the numbers.
