January 2nd, 2009, I started my journey to become healthy. I started dieting and exercising because I was not proud of the life I was living, not only because of my weight but because of other circumstances as well.
It was a turning point in my life.
Today it is January 27th, 2010. Just a little over a year since the beginning of my journey. I'm 84 pounds lighter, and though I'm still not exactly where I want to be, I've definitely accomplished something that not many people have, and I can honestly say I'm proud of who I've become. My journey is not yet finished, but I am progressing. Not only have I lost a considerable amount of weight, but I've managed to keep it off. The majority of this past year, I hadn't dieted, and not exercised. (Not because I haven't want to, but these days, I have no time or money. eh.) But I've still managed to make progress and will continue to do so.
I started my diet back up a week ago, on January 20th, 2010. So far, in just a week, I've lost 8lbs, and I'm currently down to 190lbs. I can't even remember myself being this small because the majority of my adolescence I was overweight. The smallest I remember myself being was 225lbs when I was 15 years old, and it only went up from there.
I look at old pictures of myself, and I think "Who is that?". And the weird part about it is, I never even realized that I was THAT big. At my biggest, I remember being 274lbs, and to be honest, I thought I was hot stuff, lol. Now, looking back at those same photos, I'm disgusted at what I had let myself become.
I'm a new person, with a new look. I don't even look like the same person anymore. It's absolutely amazing to see how much weight loss really can change your appearance. My face has completely taken on a new shape.
Here are two photos of me. The first with the caption "Then" was taken when I was at my biggest. This was on Thanksgiving of 2007 I believe. I was 18 years old. The second is a picture of me now that I took a couple days ago. I'm actually pretty embarrassed to show the "Then" picture. I look hideous. But I'm hoping that maybe this will inspire or motivate someone out there to start living a healthier lifestyle. I know if I can do it, anyone can.

Great Job!
