Hi,

I have struggled with my weight since high school. i am now 35 years old. i am an emotional eater and i just plain love food. I don't exercise and im just packing on the pounds. I currently weigh 240-my heaviest is 255-. when i do attempt to lose weight, i usually see results fairly quickly but i lose motivation quickly. If i get depressed or mad, i just say to heck with it. I'm tired of being fat. i'm no spring chicken and i want to know what it feels like to feel attractive while I'm still relatively young. Its now or never.

That's the spirit! Took me approaching 40 to come to the same realization.

There are people here that also struggle with the emotional eating, so you should find a lot of info there. I'd also recommend reading through the stickied posts... there's a LOT of great stuff there that can answer questions, and prompt new questions. Good stuff on exercise... believe me... exercise is VERY important. Helps you look good as well as keep you healthy. Just a matter of finding something you will enjoy and start from there.

Welcome to the forum. :waving:

Great job in wanting to take the steps to lose weight and be healthy. When people go from a sedentary live style to working out and eating out they tend to lose a lot at first and then it will get harder, but don't give up and keep working at it and you will achieve your goals. :coolgleamA:
