Hi everyone,

I am new to the whole forum thing when it comes to weight loss, but I think that it can only benefit me in my weight loss journey. i need to write things down, and i think it will help to have the validation of knowing someone might read it and be able to offer some advice.

I am 27 yrs old, happily married and have 2 daughters, 5 and 8yrs old.

On the labour day weekend I seen pictures and video of myself 10 years ago at my engagement party and realised how much I have changed.
This kick started a need to lose weight and do it right THIS TIME.
Ive tried diet programs, duromine, abuse of laxitives, you name it.....no more quick fix i want to do this right and forever!!!!!

On Monday the 8th of March I went and brought a Wii Fit, due to my working from home and my husbands commitments, getting out of the house to exercise isnt a readily available opportunity for me.

Starting weight 116kgs
Height 183cms
BMI 34.6

Any how, been watching what I eat, cut out soft drink which was my biggest vice, replacing it with water, and diet coke if i have and insatiable need for the bubbles.

it is now 29th March and to date I have lost 6kgs. BMI 32.8

I am in a bit of a flap today however coz i am a daily weigher, and ofr the first time i have put on weight, 1.7kgs, over night!! i was absolutely shattered......but then I looked at what i had done yesterday, which was go for a 6.8km walk with the family, and drink a crap load of water, im thinking maybe the weight is fluid retention???? some advice here would be great to clear my consience.

Any ways thats a bit about me and where I am at and I look forward to Sharing more of my progress with you guys and learning about your stories.

Don't let one day discourage you! Keep up the hard work and you will continue to see results. I am sure that it is water retention, your legs are probably trying to recover.
