Well, I'm 30 years old, 6'4" tall and at the moment I'm 275lbs. I feel like crap all the time, and I'm always tired. My cardio gets maxed out when I climb a flight of stairs. Oh, I almost forgot the weight related high blood pressure. So ya, it's about time I did something about it.
I have managed to collect about 400lbs of free weight, a bench and an all in one home gym unit. As well, I have an elliptical trainer I salvaged and rebuilt(sometimes being a machinist really pays off) Now I just have to get off my butt and do something with it all.
My goal is to loose 55lbs and keep it there. I went with 220lbs as my goal because it seemed like the most reasonable number I got out of those "ideal weight" calculators you find online. Given that I have a wide frame it seemed reasonable.
As an added bonus, my wife is on Weight Watchers, so I have all the books and stuff to put myself on it at a much more reasonable price... Free.
The only thing I'm not sure of right now is time line. How much time should I expect it to take to safely loose 55lbs?? I have no intention of causing more problems trying fix this one.
Well, here goes...

You can reasonabley expect to average 2 pounds a week safely, and permanently. Good luck!!!
