Thanks
As part of my weight loss i want to exercise to be a major part of it. Diet i know is deffinately a major part of weight loss, and ihave already started having smaller portions and replacing the chocie buscuit with water or fruit...
I am getting myself into a routine of excercising 5 to 6 times aweek... this is mainly in the form of my exercise bike (i bought second hand for a 5 pound
), and weights.
I try to do at least 30 mins on the bike and 30 mins weights 2 to 3 times aweek and extra time on the bike on days when im not using weights. im not condifent to go running outside yet, and i cannot afford a proper bike to get outside with.
So far this is working due to the fact im out of the house from 8 in a morning usually till about 9 or 10 at night, and im a console gamer and i enjoy abit of tv too to wind down from work and daily life.
so i sit my bike infront of the tv and play on the games or watch tv whilst i pedal away like a mad man! (and obviuosly just watch tv whilst usuing weights)
This has been working well as time flys exercising, whilst still doing my fav past times.
however im begining to think that this may not be enough.... i reckon i burn about 200 to 400 cal. per session... so about 2000 to 2400 per week based on an average diet, to lose weight?
im happy to do more exercise to start losing weight but what im doing at the moment fits perfectly into my busy day.
can anyone give me any idea if im on a good track here or do i ideally need to do more to make a real difference? i will be moving up and up eventually when my fitness increases in a few months time, but is it enought for the moment.
Thank you for your replies
p.s. im not looking to lose the 60lb i need over night. the big goal for me would be able to run the 2012 london marathon (in no record time mind you lol, but it is a true dream to finish it)... hence the big focus on exercise. Thanks again
